Bim Sherman, born Jarrett Tomlinson in 1952 in Kingston, Jamaica, began his music career in 1975. He released numerous 7" records in Jamaica through his own labels, "Scorpio" and "Red Sea." In 1979, a young reggae producer invited him to England for a tour, and Sherman decided to stay in London, becoming a regular collaborator with various artists. He also established his own label, Century Records. Bim Sherman passed away from cancer on November 17, 2000, in London, England.
