Biosphere is the recording name of Geir Jenssen, a Norwegian musician born in 1962, known for his significant contributions to ambient electronic music. Renowned for his "ambient techno" and "arctic ambient" styles, he often incorporates music loops and unique samples from sci-fi sources into his work. His track "Novelty Waves" gained attention when it was featured in the 1995 campaign for Levi's. Additionally, his 1997 album Substrata has been recognized as one of the all-time classic ambient albums by www.hyperreal.org.
