Birtles and Goble were a pop music duo consisting of Beeb Birtles, born on November 28, 1948, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Graeham Goble, born on May 15, 1947, in Adelaide, Australia. Both were full-time members of the Little River Band (LRB) and collaborated as a duo, releasing an album and three singles. Their partnership began in 1972, initially in the band Mississippi before joining LRB, where they contributed to the songwriting alongside Glenn Shorrock and David Briggs. By 1978, Birtles and Goble had contributed to four LRB albums: 'Little River Band', 'After Hours', 'Diamantina Cocktail', and 'Sleeper Catcher'. They were known for their prolific songwriting, resulting in a wealth of material. Their first single, "Lonely Lives," was recorded in 1978 and charted in Brisbane and Perth, with releases in Canada, Japan, and New Zealand.
