Björk Guðmundsdóttir, known by her stage name Björk, is an acclaimed Icelandic singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actress, and DJ born on November 21, 1965, in Reykjavík. She is recognized for her highly experimental material and was ranked 60th on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Vocalists of All Time." In 1997, she received the Icelandic "Order of the Falcon." Björk had a brief marriage with a guitarist and they had a son, Sindri Eldon Þórsson, born on June 8, 1986, the same day their band was formed. They divorced before the end of 1986 but continued to collaborate in the band. From 2000 to 2013, Björk was in a relationship with another partner, with whom she has a daughter born in 2002.
