Björn J:son Lindh was a Swedish composer, arranger, pianist, flautist, and painter, born on October 25, 1944, in Arvika, Sweden. He passed away on December 21, 2013, in Nora, Sweden, where he lived with his second wife since 2009. Throughout his career, Lindh explored a wide range of musical styles, including fusion, progressive rock, jazz with North African influences, classical chamber and symphonic music, and he composed for theatre, television, and movies. His musical journey began at the age of 14 when he played saxophone in a local dance band in Arvika. In 1962, he started his musical education at what is now known as Ingesund College of Music, located near his hometown. From 1963 to 1971, he studied piano and flute solo playing at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm while simultaneously working as a session musician. He was engaged by one of the founders of a Swedish record company to work as a studio musician and played in several bands throughout the 1970s, releasing his first solo albums in 1971. Lindh often collaborated with close friends and achieved his biggest radio hit in Sweden in 1980 with "Brusa högre lilla å," a 7" single added to his 1980 album "Våta vingar."
