Black Dog was originally a trio consisting of Ed, Andy, and Ken, who were also known by another name. After Ed and Andy departed to focus on their own project, Ken continued to lead Black Dog through various line-ups. After a significant hiatus from the music scene, Ken chose to collaborate with new artists starting in 2023. Ken Downie passed away on December 20, 2025.
