Black Dog Productions is an electronic music project that originally consisted of Ken Downie, Ed Handley, and Andy Turner. After the release of their album "Spanners," Handley and Turner departed to focus on their own project, Plaid, while Ken Downie continued to produce music under the name The Black Dog. The trio utilized various pseudonyms for their different projects, which sometimes blurred the lines of distinction among them. Ken Downie has worked solo as Xeper, Discordian Popes, and I.A.O., while Ed Handley has released music as Close Up Over and Balil. Andy Turner has been involved in projects such as Atypic, Tura, and Plaid, with his solo work appearing on the album "Bytes." The collaboration between Turner and Handley is known as Plaid, except for the release "Bytes," which features Andy alone. Together, Downie, Turner, and Handley created music as The Black Dog. Additionally, "Black Dog Productions" has been credited as the artist or remixer for several tracks on various compilations.
