Black Eyed Peas, often referred to as BEP, is an American hip hop group formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1995. The group primarily consists of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo. Initially an alternative hip hop group, they have incorporated influences from R&B, soul, funk, dance, electro, and techno into their music. After releasing two studio albums in 1998 and 2000, they gained widespread acclaim and achieved high record sales with their third album, Elephunk, released in 2003.
