**Bio of Black Juniors** Real Name: Black Juniors Black Juniors is a pioneering RAP group from Brazil, originally known as Funk Junior's in 1982. The group gained recognition by participating in various dance competitions, consistently winning at venues such as Asa Branca de Pinheiros, Clube da Cidade, Sandália de Prata, Club Holmes, and Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras. They were celebrated as one of the best dance groups in São Paulo, receiving accolades from the renowned choreographer of the group, Funk Cia. The group became well-known in São Paulo, performing at numerous venues including Chic Show, Zimbabwe, Circuit Power, Black Mad, Furacão 2000, Charme Rios, Charme Dance, São Paulo Chic, Roller Super Star, Kakastas, Dinamite, Bossa Nova, Santana Samba, Sunset, Projeto Radial, and many others throughout Brazil. They initially attracted customers by singing music about fruits at fairs in São Paulo. As the first RAP group in Brazil, Black Juniors achieved national and international success during the 80s and 90s, making history as pioneers of hip hop in the São Bento subway station. Today, the group is represented by MC Frank Bruno, the only remaining member, as all other members, including his older brother and father, were tragically killed in a robbery at their home. Frank Bruno continues to advocate for black music, RAP, Soul, and Funk.
