Black Marble is a coldwave, synthpop, and post-punk music project from the USA, formed in March 2011 in Brooklyn, New York. Initially a duo consisting of Chris Stewart and Ty Kube, the project transitioned into a solo endeavor for Chris Stewart in early 2016 when he relocated to Los Angeles, California, while Ty Kube remained in Brooklyn. Since then, Chris Stewart has continued to develop Black Marble, occasionally collaborating with session musicians for live performances, including his friend Oliver who assisted him after the move. The lineup includes Chris Stewart as the sole member, serving as the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, while Ty Kube was a former member who played synthesizer and keyboards from 2011 to 2016.
