Black Rose is a NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) band from England, formed in 1980. The band split up in 1989, partly due to frustrations and legal issues stemming from an American band with the same name, which halted sales of their K-tel US album release, leading K-tel to abandon both the band and the album. In 2005, original members Steve Bardsley and Chris Watson reunited to create new material. They released a CD titled "Bright Lights Burnin - The Anthology" on the Majestic Rock label, featuring 15 songs from the 1982-1988 period. In 2010, they independently released their third studio album, "Cure For Your Disease," available for download only. The current lineup includes: - Steve Bardsley: vocals, guitar - Kenny Nicholson: lead guitar - Kiko Rivers: bass guitar - Paul Fowler: drums Previous members of the band include: - Chris Watson: lead guitar - Pat O'Neill: guitar - Gary Todd: guitar/keys - Barry Youll: drums - Marty Rajn: bass - Mick Thompson: bass - Mal 'Malla' Smith: drums - Chris Bennett: drums
