Blackfoot is a classic Southern rock band that originated in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1969 under the name "Fresh Garbage." They briefly changed their name to "Hammer" before settling on "Blackfoot" in 1970 after discovering another band had the same name. Over the years, the band experienced various ups and downs, including changes in its lineup.
