Blue Diamond was a Pop Rock/Doo-wop duo formed by brothers Riem de Wolff and Ruud de Wolff. They began their career in the 1950s after immigrating to the Netherlands from Batavia (now Jakarta), Indonesia, in 1949. Riem was born on April 15, 1943, and Ruud on May 12, 1941. The duo enjoyed success until their last hit in 1971, after which they continued to perform together until Ruud's passing on December 18, 2000. Following Ruud's death, Riem continued his musical journey as a solo artist and later teamed up with his son Steffen to form a duo called The New Diamonds. Ruud de Wolff passed away on September 12, 2017.
