Blue Feather is a Dutch soul funk band that was formed in 1976 by brothers Ed and Ron Brouwer, along with musician friends. Initially performing a mix of covers and original material in small clubs, the band decided to reinvent itself in 1980 by adding new members and focusing on their own songs. This transition led to the development of a unique sound that blends Latin, funk, and pop, characterized by intricate vocal arrangements. The name "Blue Feather" was inspired by the band's interest in the first inhabitants of America, particularly the Indians, after the Brouwer brothers read several books on the subject. Notably, the band also obtained an Oscar in France.
