Blue Foundation is a Danish cinematic dream pop, shoegaze, and electronics band formed in 2000 by singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Tobias Wilner. Inspired by Mark E. Smith's approach to band formation, the group has featured a rotating cast of traditional musicians throughout its history to foster creativity. Currently based in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, and Copenhagen, Denmark, the band's lineup since 2008 has included Wilner and producer multi-instrumentalist Bo Rande. The band gained significant recognition with the remix of their song "Eyes on Fire" by Zeds Dead, which has garnered over 80 million plays on YouTube. Blue Foundation's music has also been sampled by artists such as Lil Durk featuring French Montana on "Fly High" and Young Thug on "She Noticed." On September 2, 2016, Blue Foundation released their fifth album, "Blood Moon," through Dead People's Choice Records. The album features collaborations with Mark Kozelek, Erika Spring, Jonas Bjerre, Sonya Kitchell, Sara Savery, and Findlay Brown. Their music has been featured in major films like "Twilight" and "Miami Vice," as well as on TV shows such as "CSI: Miami" and "The Vampire Diaries." The band has been touring globally for the past five years.
