Bob Welch was an American guitarist born on August 31, 1945, in Hollywood, California. He passed away on June 7, 2012, at the age of 66 in Antioch, Tennessee. Welch began his music career in 1964 when he joined a soul band. He later moved to Paris, where he formed a trio in 1969 that recorded one album and a single, but did not achieve success. In 1971, he was invited to join another band, and after several album recordings and tours, he left in December 1974. Welch then formed another trio, releasing two albums this time. In 1976, he released his first solo album.
