Bobby Smith, born Robert Smith on April 10, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, was an American R&B singer best known as the principal lead singer of the soul vocal group, The Spinners, also referred to as the Detroit Spinners or the Motown Spinners. He passed away on March 16, 2013, in Orlando, Florida. Smith is sometimes spelled as Bobbie.
