Bobby Bare is an American country singer and songwriter, born on April 7, 1935, in Ironton, Ohio. He is married and is the father of a musician. Bare was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013. He recorded the song "The All American Boy," which reached #2 on the Pop charts in 1959, credited to the song's co-writer Bill Parsons. Bare served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961 and acted in the movie "A Distant Trumpet." He also hosted TNN's "Bobby Bare and Friends."
