**Bio of Bobby Cutchins** Bobby Cutchins was born and raised in North Carolina, where he began his musical journey at the age of 14 with his first band, The Majestics, alongside his older brother Joe B, younger sister Gwendolyn, and two family friends. Initially a drummer, Bobby always knew he had the talent to sing. While attending Saint Augustine's College, he sang lead for a campus group and played drums for Gene Scott & The Twilighters, performing with various popular artists of the time. During the summer of his sophomore year, he toured Canada with the band, where he had the opportunity to sing lead when the featured singer fell ill. This experience inspired him to focus solely on singing upon returning to the United States. Bobby is best known for his 1977 single, "I Did It Again," which he co-wrote in the early 1970s with a partner. In May 1976, he returned to Philadelphia and connected with the owner of Lasso Records, who was impressed by Bobby's talent after a private performance. They agreed to produce a session with complete creative freedom, leading to the writing of additional songs. The session was recorded with the MFSB Family and featured background vocals from Angela Davis. "I Did It Again" was released in February 1977, along with "Good Treatment" as its flip side.
