Bobby Freeman (born June 13, 1940, in San Francisco, California, USA - died January 28, 2017, in Anson, Texas, U.S.A.) was an American soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began his recording career at the age of 14. Freeman achieved notable success in 1958 with his Top Ten hit "Do You Want to Dance," which he both wrote and performed. He made a comeback to the Top Ten in 1964 with the dance-craze hit "C'mon and Swim," which reached number 5.
