Bobby McFerrin is an American singer, songwriter, and conductor, born on March 11, 1950, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S.A. He is the son of an opera singer, and both his son and daughter are also musicians and singers. McFerrin has been part of several bands, including Gimme5 and Hard Choral. Throughout his career, he has won ten Grammy Awards, including Best Vocal Arrangement For Two Or More Voices for "Another Night In Tunisia," Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male for "Another Night In Tunisia" and "'Round Midnight," Best Recording For Children, Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male for "What Is This Thing Called Love" and "Brothers," Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male and Song Of The Year for "Don't Worry Be Happy," as well as Record Of The Year and Best Jazz Vocal Performance for "'Round Midnight."
