Bobby Mitchell was a rhythm and blues singer born in Algiers, Louisiana, on August 16, 1935. He passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 17, 1989. Mitchell recorded for Imperial from 1953 to 1957 and again in 1962, with additional recording sessions for Sho-Biz, Ron, and Rip between 1960 and 1963, all taking place in New Orleans.
