Bobby Sox was a punk rock vocalist from Dallas, Texas, known for his role as the lead vocalist of the bands Teenage Queers and Stick Men With Ray Guns. He passed away in Dallas in October 2000, just two months shy of his 46th birthday. Soxx was unknowingly the inspiration for the instrumental song "Hot Klub." A fan of the band, he had an incident after a Stranglers show at Dallas' Hot Klub in October 1980, where he asked a roadie to go backstage but was cursed away. In response, he returned and struck the roadie with a beer bottle, causing a concussion, and subsequently slashed the tires of the band's truck.
