Boddega is an Ecuadorian psychedelic rock group formed in Guayaquil in 1971. The band was created by ex-members, including brothers Homero and Miguel Gallardo, along with Gelo Cárdenas, Enrique Alín, Jorge Terán, and Gustavo Pacheco. The name "Boddega" originates from their initial rehearsals held in a winery located on the streets of Pichincha and Colón, owned by "Cucho Roggiero." The group is also known as "Supergrupo Boddega" or "Super Grupo Boddega." During the "golden age" of Ecuadorian music, Boddega recorded their first album under the Emporio Musical Orion label, featuring the hit song "The Man Without a Head." The band disbanded in 1974, but in 2005, Gustavo Pacheco revived the group under the name "Grupo Boddega Show del Recuerdo," inviting well-known musicians to join, including Francisco Andrade (Carioca - vocalist), Alfonso Soto (bass), Felipe Qiroz (keyboards), and Antonio Cortés (drummer).
