The Bollywood Brass Band is Europe's first Indian wedding brass band, formed in 1992 to perform alongside the Shyam Brass Band from Jabalpur, India, at the International Festival of Street Music in London. The band consists of over 10 musicians playing a variety of instruments, including saxophones, trumpets, trombones, sousaphone, snare and bass drums. They also feature drummers from The Dhol Foundation who play the dhol, the loud and exciting Punjabi drum used in Bhangra music. The Bollywood Brass Band performs at weddings, world music and street music festivals, as well as cultural festivals such as Diwali, Milad, and melas.
