Bonemen of Barumba was a Chicago-based band founded in 1980 by Tom Jonusaitis and Mark Panick in the suburbs of Chicago. Over the next four years, they released two EPs, "Bonemen of Barumba" and "Driving the Bats Thru Jerusalem," as well as one LP, "Icons," on the local label Fever. The band gained some recognition for participating in a suburban Illinois parade. Often described as an art-funk group similar to the Pop Group, Bonemen of Barumba did not achieve the commercial success their label had anticipated, leading to the band's split after their third release.
