Bonnie Beecher (born April 25, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) is a retired American actress known for her brief acting career, which primarily consisted of guest-starring roles on American television series. Before her acting career, she was briefly the girlfriend of singer Bob Dylan while they both attended the University of Minnesota in 1961. It is alleged that Dylan's song "Girl From The North Country" was inspired by her. Beecher made her acting debut as the mysterious folksinger "Mary Rachel" in the 1964 Twilight Zone episode "Come Wander With Me" and appeared in episodes of shows such as The Invaders, The Fugitive, and Gunsmoke. Notably, she had roles in the original Star Trek series as "Sylvia" in the episode "Spectre of the Gun" in October 1968, and in the detective drama The Outsider in November 1968. These were her last two roles before she retired from acting in her twenties. In 1965, she married counter-culture icon David Beecher, and they remain married. Together, they help run several charitable organizations.
