Patricia Eva "Bonnie" Pointer was an American R&B and disco singer, born on July 11, 1950, in Oakland, California. She was a founding member of The Pointer Sisters, which originated when her sister Anita joined Bonnie and Ruth, who initially formed a duo called "Pointers, a Pair." Bonnie was married to a producer from 1978 until their separation in 2004, with the divorce filed in 2014. She passed away on June 8, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 69.
