The Bonzo Dog Band, also known as The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, The Bonzo Dog Dada Band, and colloquially as "The Bonzos," is a British band formed by a group of art-school students in the 1960s. They are known for their unique blend of music hall, traditional jazz, psychedelic rock, and avant-garde art. The band gained wider recognition through the children's television program "Do Not Adjust Your Set." The core members throughout most of their career included: - Vivian Stanshall (1943–1995): trumpet, lead vocals - Neil Innes (1944 - 2019): piano, guitar, lead vocals - Rodney "Rhino" Desborough Slater (b. 1944): saxophone - (b. 1943): tenor sax and various contraptions - (b. 1944): drums The band's lineup varied frequently, often changing on a weekly basis, and they collaborated with numerous guest musicians in the studio.
