Boogie Down Productions is a hip-hop group originally formed by Lawrence Kris "KRS-One" Parker, Scott "La Rock" Sterling, and Derrick "D-Nice" Jones. The group's name, Boogie Down, is inspired by a nickname for the South Bronx, one of New York City's five boroughs.
