Book of Love is an American synth-pop band formed in 1983. The band consists of friends Ted and Susan Ottaviano, who are not related despite sharing the same last name, and Jade Lee, Susan's classmate from the Philadelphia College of Art. The trio began recording together in the early 80s before officially adopting the name Book of Love in 1983. In 1984, Ted recruited Lauren Roselli, a fellow student from New York’s School of Visual Arts, to complete the quartet.
