Boostin Kev was a Brooklyn emcee known for living the lifestyle he rapped about. He became involved with the notorious "Lo-Lifes" crew, a group infamous for boosting "Polo" wear on the east coast during the 80s and early 90s. Boostin Kev was the first member of the crew to have his music recorded. Tragically, he was caught up in his lifestyle, leading to his incarceration, where he committed suicide by hanging himself in his jail cell. The "Lo-Lifes" crew remains recognized today, largely due to the efforts of members like Thirstin Howl III and Rack-Lo, who have kept the legacy alive in the 21st century.
