Milton Michael Rajonsky, known by his stage name Boots Brown, was a musician who made rock-and-roll recordings for RCA under the name Boots Brown & His Blockbusters. The group recorded music primarily for movies, but RCA released these tracks as singles, possibly to capitalize on the new 45-rpm format. Members of the group, including Shorty, chose to use fake names due to the stigma associated with playing rock-and-roll music among jazz musicians at the time. They preferred not to have their real names on the records, feeling embarrassed about the genre.
