Bopol Mansiamina, born on July 26, 1949, and passed away on November 7, 2021, was a prolific and renowned Congolese musician known for his skills as a bass player, rhythm guitarist, vocalist, composer, and producer. Over his four-decade career, he recorded and performed extensively as a solo artist and as a member of prominent African bands, supporting many musicians across the continent. Bopol gained significant recognition in the 1980s and early 1990s as one of the four members of the Paris-based supergroup, the 4 Stars, in addition to his solo work.
