BOTTIN is an Italian artist, producer, DJ, and academic researcher based in Venice. He has quickly risen to prominence in the contemporary electronic disco scene with influential releases on labels such as Italians Do It Better, Eskimo, and Bear Funk. BOTTIN is also known for his italo-wave project. He has curated several music events for the Venice Biennale and played a key role in establishing CIMM, the Biennale's center for electronic music. Additionally, he contributed to the sound design of the Spanish Pavilion at the 51st Biennale of Contemporary Arts. BOTTIN completed a PhD fellowship in musicology at the University of Milan and was a visiting researcher at Humboldt University in Berlin. He is currently a research fellow at the University of Bologna.
