Boudleaux Bryant was an American songwriter, born on February 13, 1920, in Shellman, Georgia. He passed away on June 26, 1987, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Throughout his career, Bryant received several accolades, including induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1982, and the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame in 1985. He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1986.
