Braen, born on March 18, 1925, in Rome, Italy, was an Italian composer, arranger, vocalist, whistler, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist proficient in various instruments including guitar, sitar, keyboards, mandolin, mandocello, accordion, banjo, flute, harmonica, jew's harp, recorder, melodica, and ocarina. He founded a vocal ensemble and was the husband of one individual and the former husband of another. He was also the father of two children. Braen passed away on March 26, 2017, in Rome, Italy.
