Brain Pyramid is a Heavy Psychedelic Rock'n'Roll band formed in November 2012 in Rennes, Brittany, France. The band was initiated by lead guitarist Gaston Lainé and drummer Baptiste Gautier-Lorenzo, who were inspired by classic Rock n Roll legends such as Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Sabbath, and Motörhead, as well as stoner rock and the contemporary psychedelic scene, drawing influence from bands like Kyuss, Sleep, Fu Manchu, Earthless, and Orange Goblin. After releasing their first EP, "Magic Carpet Ride," the original bassist left, and Ronan Grall from the doom band Huata joined. They recorded their debut LP, "Chasma Hideout," released on Acid Cosmonaut Records. Following a European tour in 2014, the band underwent another lineup change, welcoming new bassist Paul Arends. They later released a split with the French stoner band Missingmile and recorded another LP in 2015, titled "Magnetosphere," which was based on free jams. Currently, Brain Pyramid is beginning a new era in Barcelona, continuing to play loud enough to evoke the sensation of an LSD dose.
