Mr. Brainwash, also known as MBW, is a street artist and gallery artist believed to be a pseudonym for Thierry Guetta, who is often considered a fictional character. He is featured in the 2010 film "Exit Through The Gift Shop" as a French citizen residing in Los Angeles. Guetta, who previously owned a clothing store and worked as a videographer, was influenced by the street artists he documented over the years. His first art show, "Life is Beautiful," opened in Los Angeles on June 18, 2008. In 2009, he created the cover art for Madonna's "Celebration" album, and on February 14, 2010, his second show, "ICONS," opened in New York City.
