The Brand New Heavies are one of the most successful acid jazz and UK funk groups of all time. Over the years, they have featured several lead vocalists, including Linda Muriel, Jay Ella Ruth, N'Dea Davenport, Siedah Garrett, Carleen Anderson, Nicole Russo, Honey Larochelle, Dawn Joseph, and Sulene Fleming. The group achieved significant success in the early 1990s with N'Dea Davenport, who later returned for the "Get Used To It" and "Live In London" albums. Dawn Joseph gradually took over lead vocal duties before she and founding member Jan Kincaid, who also served as a co-lead vocalist, left the group in late 2015. The Brand New Heavies are known for their biggest hits, which include "Never Stop," "Dream Come True," "Dream On Dreamer," "Midnight At The Oasis," "Sometimes," "You Are The Universe," "You've Got A Friend," "Saturday Nite," and "I Don't Know Why (I Love You)."
