Broken Glass is a musical group that originated as a breakdance crew. The duo, consisting of Kermit and Fiddz, collaborated with Manchester radio DJ Greg Wilson and his musician friends from Magazine and A Certain Ratio to create an electro track titled "Style of the Street." Impressed by their work, Morgan Khan, the owner of the Street Sounds compilation label, encouraged them to produce additional tracks for a UK Electro compilation. To create the illusion of a vibrant hip-hop scene in the UK, Khan invented fictitious artist and writer credits for the compilation, which primarily features the work of Broken Glass, along with one track by The Rapologists.
