Bronski Beat was a popular synthpop trio composed of keyboardists Steven William Forrest (born February 7, 1960, died December 9, 2021) and Lawrence Charles Anthony Cole (born May 6, 1960, died December 16, 2016), along with countertenor vocalist (born June 22, 1961). Somerville left the group in 1985 to form a new project and was replaced by John Foster. Jøn left Bronski Beat in November 1986 and was later replaced by another member.
