Brother To Brother is a funk soul assemblage founded in 1974. They gained support from various artists and had a hit with Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle." The group experienced loosely changing line-ups and recorded four albums between 1974 and 1980. Notably, their 1974 non-LP track "Every Nigger Is A Star" was banned by many radio stations at the time of its release.
