Sir Bruce Forsyth CBE (22 February 1928 – 18 August 2017) was a British entertainer and presenter known for his remarkable career that spanned 70 years. Born in London, England, he transitioned from a struggling variety performer to a Saturday night TV star. He was the father of singer and actress Laura Forsyth and was married to a singer from 1953 until their divorce in 1973.
