Bryan Ferry, CBE (born 26 September 1945) is an English singer and songwriter from Washington, County Durham. He gained prominence as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the glam art rock band Roxy Music, achieving three number one albums and ten top ten singles in the UK between 1972 and 1982. Ferry began his solo career in 1973 and disbanded Roxy Music in 1982 to focus on his solo work. The band reunited for a concert tour in 2001 and toured together intermittently until 2022, when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
