**Buckethead** Real Name: Buckethead Born: May 13, 1969, Huntington Beach, California Buckethead is an American guitarist and songwriter known for his innovative electric guitar playing and prolific musical output. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and took lessons from various professors, including a notable virtuoso guitarist. Inspired by his love for horror films, he created his Buckethead persona after watching "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" in 1989, adopting a KFC bucket on his head and a white mask reminiscent of Michael Myers. Buckethead is known for his silent performances, where he communicates through a severed zombie prop head named "Herbie." He engages with audiences by gifting toys, performing robot dances, and showcasing nunchaku skills during concerts. In 1989, he sent demo tapes to Guitar Player magazine, leading to encouragement from editors that helped launch his career. His first album, "Bucketheadland," was released in 1992. In 1995, he formed a short-lived band and released a unique album in 1996. His earliest band, the Deli Creeps, was active until 2007, with their only feature-length album released in 2005.
