Bull Moose Jackson was an American jazz, blues, and early rhythm and blues saxophonist, singer, and bandleader, born on April 22, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio. He began his musical journey on the violin before switching to the tenor saxophone in high school. Jackson played with (and his orchestra) during 1944 and 1945, after which he formed his own group called "The Buffalo Bearcats," with which he achieved several big hits. He passed away on July 31, 1989, in Cleveland, Ohio.
