Bunny Wailer, born on April 10, 1947, in Kingston, Jamaica, was a renowned Jamaican singer, songwriter, and percussionist. He was one of the original members of the iconic Jamaican reggae group formed alongside Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Bunny grew up in the same household as Bob Marley, which fostered their close relationship. Over the years, he became one of the most productive members of the group, establishing his own label and recording primarily in the 'roots' style, with political and spiritual messages that reflected his beliefs in the Rastafari faith. Bunny Wailer received critical acclaim throughout his career, winning the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1990, 1994, and 1996. In 2009, he settled on a farm in St. Thomas, Kingston, Jamaica. Bunny Wailer passed away on March 2, 2021, in Kingston, Jamaica, at the age of 73.
