Burt Bacharach was an award-winning American pianist and composer, born on May 12, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away on February 8, 2023, in Los Angeles. Bacharach is best known for composing and often performing numerous pop hits from 1962 to 1970, primarily in collaboration with lyricist Hal David. He also briefly worked with Hal's brother and his ex-wife. Throughout his life, Bacharach was married to actress Paula Stewart from 1953 to 1958, actress Angie Dickinson from 1965 to 1980, songwriter Carole Bayer Sager from 1982 to 1991, and Jane Hansen since 1993. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1971. The songs he wrote and produced with Hal David are notable highlights of his career.
