Byron Lee and The Dragonaires is a renowned Jamaican ska, calypso, mas, and soca band that was formed around 1950. The group, which gained significant popularity and success, was selected to perform in the 1962 James Bond film Dr. No, which introduced them to an international audience. Their hit "Dance Hall Soca," recorded with Admiral Bailey, is credited with initiating the ragga-soca craze of the late 1990s.
